Last week, Jennifer Lawrence showed her true (primary) colors. Now, she’s trying out another time-honored trend: the Canadian tuxedo. For a morning walk with husband Cooke Maroney, Lawrence opted for a crisp denim look, pairing an oversized button-down top with baggy wide-leg jeans.
But, as always, the actor knows that the key to a Canadian tuxedo—and the key to any successful outfit—is accessories. Lawrence kept cool in round wire-frame sunglasses and carried a Hermès Lindy coffee bag. She ditched the neutrals (because, yes, denim is a neutral) and added a pop of color with a pair of turquoise Khaite ostrich flats.
Lawrence isn’t the only one to elevate her double-denim style with bright accessories. In 2001, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake added some bling to their denim-focused American Music Awards with diamonds and chains. Most recently, at the 2025 Grammy Awards, Kendrick Lamar upped his denim look with a light baseball cap and added an awesome diamond-encrusted chain.
