‘Titanique’ Star Marla Mindelle on the Show’s Improbable Voyage to Broadway

New York’s 99-year-old St. James Theater has staged some of the most memorable Broadway productions of all time, from Oklahoma! arrive Hello Dolly! Thirty-six hours after opening night, Mindell is still reeling from the excitement of what she calls the greatest moment of her life. “I’ve always described it as my gay wedding,” she told Fashion. “I’m not married yet, but if I have a wedding, I want it to be like this. I felt like we were always the losers, so I just burst into tears after the premiere. Even though the show was silly, to me it was very touching.”
