Myha’la’s Frosted Monochrome Makeup Feels Fresh for Summer

When it comes to beauty references, Myha’la is a fan of Y2K glamour; take her signature skinny brows, seen both in real life and on her industry Character Harper Stern. Last night, at the third annual Gotham Television Awards, the actor went all out, going from head to ballet slippers — and pedicured toes.

There the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series with Grace Gummer was presented industry The star wore a silver strapless floral dress with keyhole detailing and feather trim from Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2004 collection, designed by Britt Mccamey. Of course, only complementary early 2000s makeup looks will do.

Makeup artist Shyanna Lundi chose lavender eyeshadow for Myha’la’s lids, which felt right at home paired with the star’s retro beauty signature: ultra-plucked thin brows. She completed the look with a glossy lip (not unlike what the models wore at the 2004 Gucci show, in fact), while hairstylist Dre Demry-Sanders let Myha’la’s braids hang loosely down her back.

The actor’s sparkling look wasn’t the only highlight of the night. Myha’la had an adorable red carpet meeting and photoshoot with Kerry Washington (who had the spotlight on the night) love story Actor Sarah Pidgeon shared both moments on Instagram. How about Monday night?
