How Stars Are Reinventing Coachella’s Boho Style

The first weekend of Coachella is all about seeing your favorite artists perform (Justin Bieber! Sabrina Carpenter! Carol G!), but one of the joys of attending the annual music festival is taking in the one-of-a-kind street style scene.

Bohemian fashion was especially alive and well at Coachella this year. A star-studded ensemble, including Lisa, Anya Taylor-Joy and Teyana Taylor, proved that bohemian style isn’t going away anytime soon.

The festival has long been associated with a hip, free-spirited sense of fashion. The 2010s saw Coachella’s boho vibes rage alongside our Tumblr inspirations and snapshots of indie music. You’ll often see showgoers wearing suede vests, leather shorts or skinny jeans. Maybe even pair it with a romantic ruffled blouse or fringed bag. Fast forward to the present tense, and this year’s top music festivals are keeping that spirit alive, but with a more modern twist. (Meaning, no corolla in sight.)

Blackpink member Lisa showed up at Coachella in a casual cool outfit, conveying bohemian style in a more discreet way. She paired her white fringed lace mini dress with an oversized leather jacket and accessorized with her best cowboy boots. It’s not exactly bohemian – on the contrary, hint Bohemian style with an edgier edge. So did Anya Taylor-Joy, who wore a strappy little camisole top with skinny leather pants and a bright red Gucci bag. It gives a bohemian feel while also feeling more stylish and streamlined.
