This move follows royal gazetteOn February 19, the Constitutional Court issued a ruling on ethical standards and ministerial qualifications.
Anutin acknowledged the ruling as a key compass that the government must consider rigorously.
“We must take the Constitutional Court’s judgment seriously,” he said.
As for the rumors that the Pheu Thai party’s ministerial candidate list, especially Surya Junrugejit and Somsak ThepsutinAfter being rejected, Anutin insisted: “Not at all.”
He declined to comment on whether either figure might face eligibility issues and said there had not been any discussions with any political parties about the allocation of positions or departmental quotas.
The prime minister said scrutiny would be “tougher”, reflecting the executive’s caution in seeking to reduce political risk, particularly on issues of “proven honesty and integrity” and “ethical standards”, a double-edged sword that has previously led to the removal of some ministers.
