Kering, Cannes, and Cocktails: Vogue100 Celebrated at Fashion’s Favorite Film Festival

Vogue100 and Kering toasted to entertainment’s most glamorous film festival with a poolside celebration at the prestigious Carlton Hotel in Cannes. Under the breezy cabin, at the golden hour, guests served champagne, sprites and espresso martinis to celebrate another year of fashionable moments.

Looking forward to the premiere tonight parallel history Directed by award-winning director Asghar Farhadi, the overall effect is as dazzling as the paparazzi’s flashbulbs at the entrance to the historic Croisette. Think: everything from shimmering sequins, hand-beaded floral gowns, and flowing chiffon layers to fringed bags, satin gloves, velvet bow ties, crystal tiaras, and opera glasses. Soon, scores of people will be filing into black cars and heading to the famous red carpet a few blocks away. But first, the conversation is engaging—just like the fashion.

Laurent Claquin, chief brand officer of Kering Group, said: “Fashion has always been a way to express oneself and reward oneself.” The group includes international luxury brands Saint Laurent, Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Boucheron, and is also the organizer of the annual star-studded Caring for Women dinner. “I’m so happy to be here with this group of people. They really enjoy fashion and they look and feel good and smart, which makes me happy,” Clark Kun said with a smile, adding to the energy of the evening. “That’s what fashion is about.”
