Choosing an outfit that fits the “fashion is art” theme of the 2026 Met Gala is no easy task, especially when it’s your first Met Gala, but Chase Infiniti definitely understands the task.
this one battle after another The star stepped out on the first Monday in May wearing a Thom Browne trompe l’oeil dress inspired by Alexandros of Antioch’s famous second-century BC statue of Venus de Milo. The dress uses over 1.5 million stacked sequins, paired with over 600 different colors of layered silk fringe, layered to mimic brushstrokes.

Infiniti isn’t the only company bringing an element of glamor to the 2026 Met Gala. Devyn Garcia, attending her first Met Gala, wore a figure-hugging Michael Kors gown designed to mimic the curves of her own body, a look Kors described as “a trompe l’oeil viscose jacquard crystal-embellished column that allowed one to leave the house naked but still fully clothed.” Sabine Getty also embraced the idea of trompe l’oeil, designing a bodice with bejeweled hands clasping her naked torso.
Infiniti also dressed up for the 2026 Oscars, pairing a custom Louis Vuitton lavender silk dress (which took more than 750 hours to make, mind you) with a De Beers London Summer choker necklace from the brand’s Metamorphosis 2023 couture collection. With this look and her stunning 2026 Met Gala outfit, Infiniti has more than earned her a reputation as one of Hollywood’s best-dressed young stars.
