This beautiful look is worthy of Sandro Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and a spot on the 2026 Met Gala red carpet: extra long hair.
It all started when co-chair Nicole Kidman (and her daughter, Sunday Rose) walked the carpet in the early evening with a few inches of hair. The mother-daughter duo shared the work of hairstylist Adir Abergel that day and shared some beauty inspiration.
Since then, the list of long-haired muses has only grown longer and longer. Charli xcx wore her signature brunette locks styled into romantic half-up, half-down waves by hairstylist Matt Benns (another popular choice for the night).
Amanda Seyfried and Zoë Kravitz are also fans of the half-up, half-down style. Hairstylist Renato Campora created Seyfried’s stylish hair, while we suspect hairstylist Nikki Nelms was responsible for Kravitz’s braided look.
Katy Perry (Katy Perry) and Lisa (Lisa) decorated their long hair with metal masks and sculptural veils respectively, and the emphasis on hair accessories was also the finishing touch for many people tonight.
Whether it is an extension or naturalthere’s no shortage of hair inspiration to enjoy. For more super-long hair moments at the Met, see below.
