The “underwear set” is the loose concept Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave had in mind when they started thinking about their resort. As it evolved, the collection became more about different expressions of femininity than a mixture of these two opposite ways of dressing. Breaking with the rugged masculinity of pinstripes, the basis for many Wall Street uniforms, the designers cut the fabric into a figure-flattering dress with a sexy white-thread ruffle at the hem. A lace suspender skirt paired with an organza blouse is full of revelation. This outfit offered a compromise between extremes, pairing a lace-trimmed slip dress with a boxy plaid jacket in shades of gray.
Unusually, black is the dominant color here, which is in line with our predicted fall 2027 fashion trends. When it comes to updated basics, light-wash carrot-leg and crease jeans transcend the barrel shape for a sharper silhouette, while an oversized pink bouclé sweater with button lining/outside offers fluffy warmth in a new form of soft comfort.
