Adam Lippes Resort 2027 Collection

Adam Lippes is opening new stores on two continents, with a global footprint: Osaka debuted last month, and a London Mount Street boutique is scheduled to open in September. (Two more Tokyo pop-ups are also in the works.)

No wonder Lipps had escapism in his head. His new resort collection is an ideal travel wardrobe for winter holidays in an Alpine chalet. “This is the most comfortable collection I’ve ever done, and in some ways the sportiest,” he said during a lookbook shoot. A two-tone reversible cashmere sweater and pants set lives up to expectations and even exceeds them. Their wearers don’t even need a fire to stay warm.

Of course, she doesn’t spend all her time in front of the fire. The fluffy cashmere jacket is designed to resemble soft polar fleece and feels just as soft. So does the icy white Mongolian lamb robe. A navy cashmere custom coat may look plain by comparison, but a closer look reveals subtle floral rope embroidery. Elsewhere, cropped bomber jackets were paired with low-rise maxi skirts and paisley-embossed silk pencil skirts.

On the tailoring front, there’s rich Lesage tweed with hand-pulled fringe trim, a more manly Prince of Wales check, and the bloomers he introduced for spring are back. Despite their bold proportions, they proved to be a best-seller. Here, he cuts them into the softest knitwear, black silk lamé, which shimmers with gold depending on the angle. Paired with a matching button-down shirt, it’s an attractive alternative to a cocktail dress. Keeping up with the theme, he had a little black dress and a streamlined brown shearling mink coat. “It’s so tactile,” he said, “why not?”
