Anna-Kay first discovered this unique dress while looking through a Monique Lhuillier catalog. “There’s something about it,” she said. “It sounds amazing, but I’m not usually a red person.” So she headed to Oscar De La Renta to find the dress. While she didn’t find her main dress, she did find a sparkly scalloped mini dress perfect for dancing at the wedding reception.

Still in need of a dress, the bride decided to make a separate appointment with Monique Lhuillier to try out her designs, including the ones that initially interested her. Although she found some beautiful dresses there, there were no rose dresses in the store. “At the end of the appointment, I thought, ‘I really think I need to try this dress on.'” At the time, only one sample had been made, so the team flew it to California for Anna-Kay to try on. “I actually cried in my dress two days later,” she shared. “Never thought I’d be that person, right, but it just felt right.”
“Putting on the gown and veil, I felt that uniqueness, just like myself—creative, independent, everything about me,” she recalls. “It’s really exciting to feel like this dress represents my future, my marriage and my commitment; it also represents my personality and that I’m not going to give up on who I am.”
