Johor Bahru – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said a snap election could be called if cracks continue to emerge within the coalition government.
The Pakatan Harapan chairman said he had heard many local rumors.

“Relationships at the federal level are currently cordial.
“But if they decide to violate the agreement, then the elections will not only be held in Johor and other states,” he said, referring to Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Pahang and Penang.
He said this while delivering a keynote speech at the Pakatan Harapan conference held here on Sunday (May 17).
“I will hold a meeting with the Pakatan Harapan leadership on this matter and if necessary, we will call for an early election.
“We will not be threatened, but if they want to negotiate in a good way, we are willing,” he said, stressing the importance of political stability for building a better government.
Anwar also slammed some state governments for handing out handouts ahead of elections.
He stressed that the three founding parties of Pakatan Harapan – PKR, DAP and Amanah – remained stable despite their differences.
