Pale Pink Jeans Are the Spring Denim Trend Everyone’s Loving

Pastel pink is the last color we expected to see in Phoebe Philo’s latest denim collection. The quintessentially cool designer, synonymous with khaki, black and gray (with the occasional pop of bold red), seems unlikely to go pastel. Yet that’s the magic of Philo, who transforms this shade’s reputation from saccharine to sophisticated with a touch of pale pink. She is not alone. Like earthy denim, the color is also popular in cool-girl denim circles, from downtown favorite Still Here to Maria McManus’ latest collaboration with AGolde. This spring, our favorite jeans are all pink.

Although it may seem tricky at first, styling this shade turns out to be surprisingly versatile. Pale pink softens graphic staples like black, white and deep burgundy, giving them a lighter feel. At the same time, it pairs easily with alternative neutrals and unexpected shades, such as mint green, chocolate brown, or grey. Consider a pale pink as your new neutral for both polish and fun. This is how we style pink jeans now.

Pink and green may look preppy, but pale pink and icy mint feel fresh and directional. Pair it with soft neutrals like brown and gray.
