Natalie Portman Is Pregnant With Her Third Child

Congratulations to Natalie Portman! The actor announced on Friday that she is expecting her third child, her first with her partner, French music producer Tanguy Destable.

Tell everyone this good news Harper’s Bazaar, “Tanger and I are so excited,” Portman, 44, said. “I’m so grateful,” she added. “I know it’s a privilege and a miracle.” During the interview, she also discussed the complexities of having a baby. Portman’s father was a fertility doctor, so she has long had a unique perspective on the subject and developed empathy through the experience.

“I grew up hearing how difficult it was to get pregnant,” she told market. “I have a lot of people that I love who have been through such a hard time, so I want to honor that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyful thing, but it’s not an easy thing either.”

Portman most recently starred in a heist comedy alongside John Krasinski fountain of youth and the upcoming art-world black comedy gallerist (Directed by Cathy Yan, starring Jenna Ortega, Charli XCX, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, etc.) The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and is expected to be released later this year.

Portman has reportedly been in a relationship with Destable since they were first spotted together in the spring of 2025, but it’s unclear how they met. She has two children from a previous marriage to choreographer Benjamin Millepied: son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9.

Elsewhere in the interview, she reflected on the experience of being pregnant at this stage of her life. “There’s a sense of gratitude that you don’t necessarily appreciate when you’re younger,” she said. “And there’s a sense of peace and understanding about myself: who I want to spend my time with, what kind of energy I want around me, to make every day experience so great. And knowing that it might be the last time, I cherish every moment.”

As for how she feels? She was doing well and walked frequently in Paris, where she lived on and off for many years. “I have more energy than I thought I would,” she said.
