Go Greek! The Stars Channeled Classical Sculptures at the 2026 Met Gala

There are countless ways to interpret the “fashion is art” dress code at the 2026 Met Gala, but some attendees prefer to keep it classic on the red carpet.

Of the eight sections in the “Art of Costume” exhibition, classical human body parts centered on Hellenistic and Roman art proved to be a popular starting point for attendees and designers.

Unsurprisingly, guests loved the curtains that looked like they were carved from marble: Laura Harrier embraced the wet look in a draped Di Petsa gown, while Lindsey Vonn’s beaded trompe l’oeil by Thom Browne mimicked swirling black and white marble.

Still, attendees demonstrated that there is still plenty of room for creativity in classical art. Kendall Jenner and Zac Posen push the limits of plain white T-shirts, transforming basics into GapStudio interpretations Wings of Victory in Samothracewhile Chase Infiniti (also Thom Browne) gave Venus de Milo Colorful updates.

Of course, Heidi Klum took it to the extreme with a prosthetic-focused interpretation by Raffaele Monti Veiled Vesta. While in Rome, right?
