But the real star of Milan’s fashion scene isn’t a brand; Siura. An obvious Milanese prototype, Siura She is a wealthy woman of a certain age who embodies a special style of Italian elegance: elegant, eccentric, and impeccably groomed. She loves precise tailoring, bold costume jewelry, silk scarves, trendy sunglasses and tasteful ladylike handbags. Her silhouettes may lean toward the classic, but she’s not afraid of unexpected brooches, sparkly prints, or brightly colored outerwear.

On the streets of Milan Fashion Week, catwalkers seemed to be sending the same message Siura Sensibility of February this year. These include a headscarf knotted under the chin, chunky earrings, oversized sunglasses and a playful handbag. Classic styles, such as neat coats or prim skirts, appear in incongruous colors and patterns.
