Fans of the “Quiet Luxury” trend and ’90s nostalgia, rejoice – a savvy TikToker discovered that a headband worn by timeless fashion icon Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy is still available at CO Bigelow in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village.
The Sixth Avenue store opened in 1838 as a true apothecary store. The store has since expanded to include a range of in-house beauty, health and lifestyle products, including the flat-strap tortoiseshell headband that Bessette Kennedy used to hold back her blond hair.

Nostalgia reaches fever pitch due to upcoming CBK Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Caroline Bassettairing tonight on FX and will be available on Hulu. While we don’t know if actress Sarah Pidgeon (who plays Bessette Kennedy) will be wearing the headband in the series, it’s at least easy to find.
A representative for CO Bigelow confirmed that Bessette-Kennedy is a “regular customer” and that the style she wore in the famous paparazzi photo actually comes in two different versions: the classic thicker version seen in the photo and a thinner version. Both come in tortoise, Tokyo (beige and white), half-blonde (yellow beige), bone, and leopard print, and cost between $20 and $30.
While there are only a handful of headband designs available for purchase on CO Bigelow’s website, the team notes that it will be taking phone orders—just right 90s style, we think!
