Chinese OpenAI Challenger Zhipu’s IPO Mints New Billionaire

Zhipu, which operates Z.ai, a ChatGPT-like service, raised $558 million in its IPO. Its chairman, Liu Debing, has amassed a fortune of $2.1 billion from his stake in the Chinese artificial intelligence modeling company.
