Combining your hairstyle with glasses isn’t always easy, but when you find the right one, it’s the perfect way to enhance them. Celebrity stylist Larry King recommends bringing your specifications with you to your hair appointment: “This way, your stylist can adjust and personalize your hairstyle to your face shape, whether you wear glasses or not. For example, with longer hair, you may want to add some face-framing layers so that when you pull your hair up, you have softer hair to fall down.”
When cutting bangs, it is especially important to carry glasses with you. “An important thing to note is whether you want to keep your bangs on the side or in the middle,” he adds. “You have to be very specific – the length of the pull-back needs to sit correctly on the arm of the glasses, otherwise the fringe might be positioned oddly. Glasses are an extension of your face shape and features, so be sure to carry them with you.”
Another thing to consider is how your hair color juxtaposes with your eyeglass frames. “Generally speaking, blondes should choose softer brown frames, while brunettes can wear darker frames,” he says.
