‘gen ATLAS’ Looks Like A Modern ‘Gigantic Drive’

After the extremely mysterious reveal of gen Design’s new game a few years ago, it’s finally here and is called Generation ATLAS.

The game is published by Epic Games and also uses the Unreal Engine, which really helps simplify the development of the game.

This is because games like this the last guardian The development cycle was quite difficult due to technical issues with the game’s toolset and many other reasons.

As for the new game, it looks really fun and definitely reminds me of the old Sandlot games, e.g. giant drive on PlayStation 2.

Issuing acts outside Japan Robot Alchemy Drivethe game lets you control a huge, heavy mech from a human perspective, either on the ground or aboard the mech itself.

Fierce battle in new trailer Generation ATLAS (shown below) really reminded me of fighting various large enemies giant drive.

However, the functions of the humans on the ground and the mechas themselves also appear to be more complex. Featuring significantly new puzzle mechanics and shooting sections.

I also like the fact that the “head” of your mech is an interchangeable part that can be used on other giant mechs.

Of course, such huge characters are nothing new to Fumito Ueda, as games like this Shadow of the Colossus Allows you to crawl over giants and knock them down.

Another point worth mentioning is that IZMOJUKI is likely to be responsible for the mecha design. He’s known for his industrial mecha designs, and his approach was perfect for the game’s setting, and he actually posted about it on his X account when the game was released.

Regardless, I’m glad there’s another Fumito Ueda game coming out, as they always end up being a pretty magical experience.
