Kylie Jenner Is Staying Loyal to This Early 2000s Pedicure

Is it time for a French pedicure renaissance? Kylie Jenner certainly thinks so. Earlier today, the beauty entrepreneur shared photos from a recent trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands, including a shot of her retro feet.

Unlike the French manicure, which has long maintained its reputation as a nail art classic, the French manicure—characterized by the same pink base and white tips—has proven to be more controversial, with some camps preferring to keep it firmly in the early 2000s.

However, this isn’t the first time Jenner has given her stamp of approval to the look. For summer 2024, she’s launching a white, square version of the style. She kept the same nail shape on her recent trip but gave her nails a more modern edge by opting for silver tips. If we had to guess, Jenner’s nails were done by top manicurist Zola Ganzorigt (who also got a bejeweled manicure on this trip).

While the jury is still out on whether a French pedicure renaissance is imminent, metallics are undoubtedly the go-to summer nail color. This year, silver and gold hues were seen on Met Gala attendees including model Ashley Graham and WNBA star A’ja Wilson.

For her part, Jenner opted for a pastel nude manicure for the Met, but she did try another controversial beauty choice: bleaching her brows. Now, we can only wonder what she’ll make us think about next.
