Congratulations to Alex Cooper and Matt Kaplan on expecting their first child. this call her daddy The podcaster and Unwell Network media mogul announced her pregnancy on Instagram on Sunday, May 17.
“Our family 🤍,” Cooper wrote on an IG photo carousel, which included two photos of herself wearing a white crop top and baggy pants that showed off her growing baby bump, smiling next to her husband and business partner, film executive and producer Kaplan.
The couple first met on a Zoom call in July 2020 due to the pandemic, got engaged three years later, and married in April 2024 in a ceremony in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
“That’s all we wanted,” she told Fashion When she got married. “It’s emotional, heartfelt, and we tailored it to what we’ve always envisioned.” Cooper wore a custom Danielle Frankel gown that day.
In 2023 they founded Unwell Network, a multi-platform media and Gen Z production company, call her daddy as its flagship podcast and more.
In an August 2024 episode call her daddyCooper, who was diagnosed with HPV several years ago, expressed concerns about her fertility and relationships. “At this point, Matt and I started getting serious and we went on our first date. It sucked because I could really imagine a future with a guy,” said. “I guess I was afraid of speaking out about one of my biggest fears, which was that this mistake I made years ago might affect my fertility. Matt was the first guy I ever dated who made me realize I even wanted kids.”
She continued: “I knew I had to be honest about it… I told him everything. He was so loving, understanding and supportive.” Cooper received HPV treatment and successfully tested negative six months later.
