Tonight, Gucci designer Demna brings his Resort 2027 collection to New York, and what’s more New York than Times Square? Of course, the downtown tourist attraction — filled with giant, eye-catching, flashing billboards — is often avoided by local New Yorkers at all costs, but it also served as the perfect glam backdrop for Demna’s new coed collection, which included runway cameos from the likes of Paris Hilton, Tom Brady and even supermodel Cindy Crawford (who ended the show with a bang).
Gucci isn’t the only major fashion house to hold a cruise show in New York this month: Louis Vuitton will also hold a show at the Frick on May 20. But which celebrities came to Times Square for Gucci Night? They include dynamic rappers and singers like Esdeekid, Mariah Carey, Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert and Shawn Mendes; actors like Lindsay Lohan; professional F1 drivers like Lewis Hamilton; fellow designers like Marc Jacobs; and enduring front-row fixtures like Kim Kardashian.
Of course, what’s even more exciting than meeting all these stars is seeing which Gucci outfit they wore during the spectacle in Times Square. Stars like Lohan wore stylish all-black leather, while Mendes went for a classic gray tailoring. Suffice it to say, the front row viewing was just as fun and just as fashionable as the runway itself!
