It’s time to say goodbye to Cowboy Carter: Beyoncé takes to the 2026 Met Gala red carpet, and a new era is dawning. As one of the evening’s co-chairs, Beyonce’s (and her family!) appearance on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art has already generated anticipation and discussion. Although she has attended seven times, we haven’t seen her since 2016’s “Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology.”
Tonight, there was not a hint of Americana in sight. Instead, the star’s figure-hugging dress began with skin-toned mesh and embellished diamond frames, which even included her gloves. Finally, she wore a feathered opera coat and train that required five people to carry it up the stairs.
Her signature blonde locks are perfectly curled—and probably have some extra-long extensions. It has a sun-shaped crown on top. She is the queen after all.

Speculation surrounding Beyoncé’s appearance tonight. Some believe her appearance will be the start of the long-awaited “Third Act,” which is rumored to be a rock album. It started with some unusual social activity — common posts, references to archival clips — and now, the world is waiting.
Beyoncé loves surprises. So do we! We will wait.
