If it wasn’t part of my job to rewatch every new episode EuphoriaSeason 3, I really don’t know if I’ll watch it again.
Sure, there was freshness in the first season, and there were moments in the second, but I’m not a big fan of the show’s artificiality, sex, and gore that took the place of meaningful character development. (We have Quentin Tarantino in our house, baby!)
when i Do want to give up euphoria, There’s one character who does keep me coming back every Sunday night, though: Jules Vaughn, an aspiring artist and part-time sugar baby played by Hunter Schafer, who’s delving into a complicated “are we exes or friends” situation with Zendaya’s Rue, even as she becomes increasingly dependent on a surgeon who likes to wrap her body in plastic. (Actress: runningwhich is obviously a serial killer. He didn’t even give you a blowhole! )
Jules’ role is Euphoria Is it flawless writing or just the right use of Schaeffer’s talents? Not always. We’ve gotten less of Jules than I wanted so far this season (although her attendance at Nate and Cassie’s wedding in the world’s most inappropriate Acne Studios dress was certainly iconic), and I don’t like the predictability of her narrative. Yes, trans women do engage in sex work at a higher rate than cis women, but I wish she had more of an interesting storyline instead of running from creepy chasers or doing… whatever she’s been doing with Rue since high school. I loved seeing Jules smoking and drawing majestic female nudes in episode three. EuphoriaSeason 3, but I hope we, as viewers, get a better understanding of where she’s been emotionally over the years.

That being said, what makes me root for Jules in difficult circumstances is simply Schaeffer’s brilliance. She has an incredible talent for doing more with less, and when she’s on screen, it’s hard to watch anyone else (even when the equally brilliant Maddie is sauntering into the wedding venue of her ex and ex-bestie, holding a killer face card and wearing a green cutout revenge gown that makes 2026 the year of the cracks).
It’s still early days, so maybe there’s still hope for my good performance Euphoria My favorite this season. The truth is, I’ll take what Jules’ arc gives us – but that won’t stop me from wishing for more.
