The Bride Wore Her Own Design to Her Barefoot Beach Wedding in Antigua

The ceremony was officiated by Alistair’s best man, actor Stanley Morgan. “He delivered a perfectly balanced speech that spoke volumes about our personalities,” Liv said. “His central idea is that we all exist at the intersection of order and freedom, and that’s exactly who we are, because I am freedom and Al is order!”

“I stood on the beach waiting for Liv with my besties, full of anticipation,” Alistair recalled. “The moment I first saw her walking towards me, all my peace disappeared and I immediately started crying.”

Following the ceremony, the festivities kicked off with a cocktail hour on the beach accompanied by a steel band. The guests then sat down to lunch, which included speeches from Jack and James, two of Alistair’s four best men, followed by a speech from his own groom.

On a tropical island, Liv knew she wanted bold colors, so she sourced colorful tablecloths with hints of pink and orange. “I asked Al to hand-carry it all the way from New York to the island,” she said. For the venue setting, each guest had their name and a pop-art version of themselves on the front of the postcard, while on the back the couple wrote about their favorite memory, as well as their “questionable characteristics.” Fruit-based centerpieces on the tables added a relaxed island vibe to the decor.

“One of the best things we do is embrace extra entertainment,” Liv explains. “At the last minute we decided to get a magician and it was the best idea. He was hilarious and awesome! He kept pulling rabbits out of nowhere and somehow we ended up with nine. Everyone was holding and feeding the little bunnies and we really don’t know how he did it.”

Because they’d spent the afternoon eating and drinking in the Caribbean sun, Liv and Alistair knew everyone would eventually need to rejuvenate. “So, at 6 p.m., we all changed into our bathing suits and ran straight into the ocean for a sunset swim,” Liv said. “It’s absolutely magic.” While everyone was in the water, Liv spontaneously decided to toss a bouquet of flowers in the ocean. “It was hilarious,” she recalled. “Two of my girlfriends were photographed together and one of them got engaged a month later!”

After the swim, they had a huge game of beach volleyball, and even some of Katherine’s team joined in. After the sun went down, the newlyweds danced their first dance to Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best.” “It started out slow and romantic, and then the band totally kicked things up a notch and everyone rushed to the floor to join us,” Liv recalls. “The band was absolutely phenomenal. They brought so much energy to the room. We spent half the night dancing with them singing our favorite songs and we didn’t leave the dance floor until the end!”
