Pops of Color Everywhere! The 2026 Met Gala Red Carpet Was Filled With Bold Hues

On the 2026 Met Gala red carpet, the true colors of many guests were revealed.

While many guests choose neutral colors to represent Greek and Roman antiquities or nudes, others lean toward bold, bright hues. It’s no surprise that primary colors (the foundation of any artist’s palette) are heavily used in rugs.

While vermilion and ocher were popular choices, the winner of the night was undoubtedly Yves Klein Blue. Hailey Bieber paired a gold Saint Laurent corset with an ultramarine column skirt and scarf, while Tessa Thompson dipped her fingers in ultramarine to match her Valentino dress.

Speaking of Valentino…Alessandro Michele was probably the most colorful group of the night. Lena Dunham wears red beaded and feathered dress inspired by Artemisia Gentileschi’s Bloodstained Judith kills Holofernes; Tila embraced her inner peacock in a vibrant teal dress, while Colman Domingo welcomed all colors in a colorful harlequin look.

Here, revisit the bold pops of color dotting the 2026 Met Gala red carpet, from Sarah Pidgeon and Alexa Chung’s chartreuse satin to Kim Kardashian’s tangerine breastplate.
