No matter what, you have to hold your head high! There are only four days left until the start of school Wearing the Devil 2 Following the film’s release, Lady Gaga and Doechii prepared us sumptuous appetizers in preparation for Friday’s delicious main course, while releasing the music video for “Runway,” the single from the film’s soundtrack. With a song title like that, do you really expect these two stars to deliver anything other than serious, stylish fantasy?
The new video, directed by Parris Goebel, is, as expected, full of campy fun. Lead the fashion! In a surreal room filled with stripes, strobe lights, and even a shower or two, the two musicians stepped in front of the camera in a variety of avant-garde looks—from bejeweled bodysuits to long-skirted ball gowns. (And frankly, none of this would look out of place at the 2026 Met Gala next week.)
Also featured in their bold and dramatic wardrobes? A healthy mix of emerging designs and top fashion brands. The blue and white floral ceramic vase-like top worn by Lady Gaga was courtesy of Thevxlley designer Daniel del Valle’s Fall 2026 collection; the London talent, who was named a finalist for the 2026 LVMH Prize just last week, is known for transforming everyday objects into high-fashion sculptures of wearable art.
In another shot, Gaga wears a structured blue blazer and ultra-loose skirt from Robert Wun’s Spring 2026 Haute Couture collection, accessorized with a hand-shaped headpiece and a dramatic veil. Apart from those custom-made latex outfits, she also wore sportswear in different looks like Luar, Bad Binch Tong Tong and Gaurav Gupta. Weird! Monster Mom’s style is clearly still very much alive.
Meanwhile, Doechii’s more head-turning ensemble, styled by Sam Woolf for the video, rounds out the catwalk-worthy clip. The rapper wears eye-catching designs from Viktor & Rolf Couture, Gaurav Gupta Couture, Harris Reed and Miss Claire Sullivan—she also highlights the best of emerging and top fashion talent. (For those wondering: Those extra-wide silk taffeta gowns reminiscent of Marie Antoinette’s era were courtesy of Sullivan.)
Gaga and Doechii, a match made in fashion heaven, and two fashion students who have clearly done their homework for this assignment. But that’s not to say we expected less. As they make clear in their song, fashion isn’t just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle: “Monday to Sunday, you were born to walk the catwalk.”
