Jordyn Woods Has Pretty Much Perfected Her Knicks Game-Day Routine

People say athletes are superstitious, but what about WAG?

Today, Jordyn Woods, who is engaged to New York Knicks power forward Karl-Anthony Towns, has her own set of scientific living habits. “Once the playoffs start, if we keep winning, everything will become part of the ritual,” Woods told us Fashion After Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 109-93. “We’re nine wins in and now I have my lucky Woods by Jordyn bag, my game day GRWM on TikTok, and a watch that I refuse to take off. At this point, I wouldn’t risk changing anything.”

“I made a mini Tux Clutch sample specifically for the playoffs. I wore it to the first game at a TikTok GRWM event and we’ve been winning ever since, so now it’s officially a lucky bag,” she added of her orange ostrich clutch. “It’s gotten to the point now where if people don’t see me carrying it during a close game, they start accusing me of changing my routine. So let’s just say this bag isn’t leaving my side anytime soon.”

While Woods stuck to her lucky bag, there was some room for spontaneity in her other looks. “My outfits are all based on mood. There’s usually one piece that I know I want to wear, and then I build the look around it,” she says. Still, she’s at the mercy of her game-time decisions. “Most days, I put everything together an hour before I leave the house. Somehow, stress always makes things look better.”

One of Woods’ favorite parts of the season is working with tailors and artists to bring Knicks-themed (and KAT-themed) looks to life. “My favorite pieces usually start with an idea in my head and then come to life with the help of a great seamstress who can execute the vision,” she says. “I’ll bring her a T-shirt or a pair of jeans and we’ll start cutting, pinning, and remaking it. I love the collaborative process of turning something simple into a single item.”

For Game 2, she opted for a denim jacket with a picture of Towns emblazoned on the back, along with his name (dazzling in Knicks orange, of course) and number (32), along with a pair of custom white pointed-toe pumps.

While Woods noted that whatever team Towns plays for she will represent, “the standard in New York is very high.” She added: “The energy inside Madison Square Garden is unreal and somehow games almost always give everyone a heart attack in the final minutes. There’s really nothing like playing a home game in the Garden.”
