Summer is here, awards season is coming to an end, and Anya Taylor-Joy continues to fly the fashion flag high in the nude trend. This time, though, she took things to the next level: showing off nude shoes.
The actor attended Miley Cyrus’ Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on May 22 and spoke at the event.
“Miley didn’t just grow up in front of the world; she exceeded every expectation the world had for her,” Anya Taylor-Joy told the crowd. “She challenges the rules, rewrites them, and occasionally lights them up in a teddy bear costume.”
Taylor-Joy said Cyrus “never asked for permission to evolve,” but instead “did it beautifully, unapologetically, and always, always be real.”
“Miley, my love, you have always been and are a true star. Thank you for shining so brightly for us all,” she added.
Taylor-Joy wore a shimmering silver Bob Mackie gown: a classic crystal and white satin trumpet beaded fringed halterneck dress with a razor back originally designed for the 1990 resort collection. On her feet she wears a pair of barely-there (literally) sandals with a clear strip of Plexiglas holding them in.
She was accompanied by her husband, Malcolm McRae. Donatella Versace was also one of the special guests. (She opted for a white Versace mini dress with gold embellishments on the shoulders, paired with white go-go style platform boots.)
Cyrus wore Versace Fall 2015 Haute Couture: another statement-making, almost-nude dress, with black webbed fabric and crystal embroidery crisscrossing around her body, creating a figure-hugging gown.
