Nail art trends come around quickly. Just this year, we’ve seen trends like micro French manicures, Japanese floral gels, and ultra-pink manicures. Next? Hailey Bieber rocked the red carpet at the Vanity Fair 2026 Oscar Party in a very classic manicure.
Bieber wore a custom leopard-print Armani Privé gown for the occasion, and while she usually favors dreamy nail art, the night’s beauty brief was a little more understated: a classic red manicure. Of course, it was done by Bieber’s regular manicurist Zola Ganzorigt (the two collaborated on 2022’s signature glazed donut manicure). Currently, Ganzorigt creates a custom cocktail of OPI shades (one part Big Apple Red, one part Endless Sun-ner, and one part Espresso Your Inner Self) to create a hue she calls “rusty red.”
Red is perhaps the most iconic nail art color of all time. This nail polish shade is a favorite of beauty icon Marilyn Monroe (and more recently Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner) because there’s literally a shade for every skin tone (and fashion sensibility). Don’t like Bieber’s bold rust-red style? Try a vampire bordeaux or an edgy brick color. Of course, if you’re in the market, you can give the viral red nails theory a try.
