Since Chemena Kamali took over as creative director of Chloé in 2023, a strong sense of community has permeated the brand. The brand “Chloé Girl” has also been given coveted new meaning, as fans of the brand and shoppers around the world have wholeheartedly embraced her effortlessly romantic designs, bringing bohemian style back into the fashion zeitgeist.
The Chloé girls came together again on Thursday morning — and Oprah was in attendance! —Kamali presented her Fall 2026 collection at UNESCO House; the United Nations headquarters designed to exchange ideas. The repetition of venues felt like a deeper commitment to dialogue and collaboration; a decision to continue the conversation. It also sets the tone for a folk-inspired collection that reflects “fashion is not about escape, but about connection,” according to the brand’s press note.
This theme of course extended beyond the runway and into the night. At 8pm, guests arrived at Le Grand Café for a traditional post-show dinner. Speaking of continuity, the gorgeous restaurant inside the Grand Palais was designed by architect Joseph Dirand, the mastermind behind Chloé’s Paris flagship store. “What I love about these dinners is the opportunity to really connect with everyone in an intimate setting where everyone can just let it all sink in,” Kamali said. Fashion. “As community spirit is such an important foundation for fashion shows and collections, coming together feels extra special.
Models Jessica Miller and Julia Stegner ditched their long-sleeved prairie runway looks for party-forward sleeveless lace dresses. “Chemena makes women feel beautiful, strong, and soft at the same time. She can bring all of that into a show and a collection,” praises Stegner. “As models and women, it’s so fun for us to be part of the Chloé family and walk her runway because you can really feel it on the runway.” Miller agreed: “It’s really special to be a part of. There’s a lot of love, a lot of passion, a lot of empathy — I hope all models feel that.”
This sense of sisterhood continued throughout the night as guests hugged and kissed each other and danced to the music of a live band. Recent campaign stars Aimee Lou Wood and Anna Tanaka were in attendance, as was Brooke Shields, who appeared on the designer’s inspiration board (along with groundbreaking photos of Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell). Alexa Chung, who hit the fall 2025 runways, is back on the front row and at the dinner table. and Neneh Cherry, her 1996 hit Miss She participated in the show’s soundtrack along with her daughter, singer Mabel.
“When you make something, you put it somewhere,” Cherry said. “Miss Presented in today’s context; what a treat. “Mabel calls the show one of her favorites. “Sometimes a fashion show can be superficial. Chemena has always had a way of speaking to the heart, which I find very powerful. ” she mused. “The combination of her designs and her music always makes me feel something, and today, it was especially good. Tanaka, a Japanese model and singer living in South Korea, agreed. “I think the atmosphere of this show is different from the previous ones,” she said. “It’s really beautiful.” “
love story Dree Hemingway has been an integral part of the Chloé family since she became the face of perfume advertising more than a decade ago. She’s already thinking about her wish list. “It feels like a Chloé that we love but haven’t seen before,” she said of the new collection. “There’s a familiar feeling of home – like, ‘Oh, I know this woman,’ but there’s also a complete sense of mystery – like she completely surprises you in the most magical way.”
There was a Belle Epoque atmosphere throughout the meal, much of which was served in true Chloé style home style. “The place is really charming, with beautiful artwork, sculptures and columns,” said Pat Cleveland, who called the day a “fairytale” experience. “If I were an artist, I would have everyone pose in these costumes and turn it into a beautiful painting.”
It was past midnight, and after the last spoonful of chocolate mousse was served, the guests huddled together and chatted for a long time. “I love seeing Chloé on all the different guests and how each one makes Chloé their own,” Kamali reflects. “Tonight felt like I was going to a friend’s dinner. That’s the most important thing to me: nothing is forced.”
