Since Chemena Kamali took over as creative director of Chloé in 2023, a strong sense of community has permeated the brand. The brand “Chloé Girl” has also been given coveted new meaning, as fans of the brand and shoppers around the world have wholeheartedly embraced her effortlessly romantic designs, bringing bohemian style back into the fashion zeitgeist.
The Chloé girls came together again on Thursday morning — and Oprah was in attendance! —Kamali presented her Fall 2026 collection at UNESCO House; the United Nations headquarters designed to exchange ideas. The repetition of venues felt like a deeper commitment to dialogue and collaboration; a decision to continue the conversation. It also sets the tone for a folk-inspired collection that reflects “fashion is not about escape, but about connection,” according to the brand’s press note.
This theme of course extended beyond the runway and into the night. At 8pm, guests arrived at Le Grand Café for a traditional post-show dinner. Speaking of continuity, the gorgeous restaurant inside the Grand Palais was designed by architect Joseph Dirand, the mastermind behind Chloé’s Paris flagship store. “What I love about these dinners is the opportunity to really connect with everyone in an intimate setting where everyone can just let it all sink in,” Kamali said. Fashion. “As community spirit is such an important foundation for fashion shows and collections, coming together feels extra special.
Models Jessica Miller and Julia Stegner ditched their long-sleeved prairie runway looks for party-forward sleeveless lace dresses. “Chemena makes women feel beautiful, strong, and soft at the same time. She can bring all of that into a show and a collection,” praises Stegner. “As models and women, it’s so fun for us to be part of the Chloé family and walk her runway because you can really feel it on the runway.” Miller agreed: “It’s really special to be a part of. It was past midnight, and after the last spoonful of chocolate mousse was served, the guests huddled together and chatted for a long time. “I love seeing Chloé on all the different guests and how each one makes Chloé their own,” Kamali reflects. “Tonight felt like I was going to a friend’s dinner. That’s the most important thing to me: nothing is forced.”
