Alex Consani Channeled Botticelli and ‘Black Swan’ at the 2026 Met Gala

Alex Consani is ready to rock the 2026 Met Gala.

The model appeared on the Met Gala red carpet wearing a Gucci dress and cape by Demna, inspired by the works of Sandro Botticelli spring. “We sent each other some references; we talked about some of the feels we wanted, and he’s already started doing that,” Consani said. “At his first show fitting we discussed what I wanted and he was really willing to make it happen.”

While the Renaissance tableau was not short of fashion inspiration, Demner focused his attention on one element: the scene on the right side of the painting, in which Zephyrus, the god of the west wind, kidnaps Cloris, the goddess of flowers and spring. Consani’s look transformed Cloris into the goddess Flora, whose look also changed.

Consani took to the carpet wearing a white grosgrain cape, which she removed to reveal a dramatic gown with a nude tulle bodice, skirt and feather-covered train. “The best way to describe it is from white swan to black swan,” she said of the reveal.
