First it was Kylie Jenner and Stormi, and now Ariana Grande and her mom Joan Grande are testing their own mother-daughter beauty vlogging strategy.
Ariana (pop star, actress, REM beauty mogul) took to Instagram to test out Ari’s new highlighter and blush stick “mélange à trois” with her business executive mother Joan.
The new Rem beauty products come in six shades and feature unique marble swirls on each stick, making each application customizable. (Ali noted that her favorite is “Love Spell,” an ultra-light, almost silvery-pink shade.) Joan applied liberally, contouring her cheekbones, then swiped the “Spicy” shade around her lips, the most bronzed of the six shades. Ali used a stipple brush to add purple-hued “Sweet Words” to the apples of her mother’s cheeks. Two blush lovers in action.
“I love your makeup,” Joan said.
“Our makeup!” Ariana interjected.
“You can put it on top of anything and it will still look perfect,” Joan concluded. “I look great.”
Blush is having a real moment right now, and it’s more than just a quick slap on the apples of your cheeks. Most of us follow the rule that blush should be applied to the high points of the cheeks, but dark circle blush is having a moment. Start by taking inspiration from ’90s Japanese beauty guru Shinobu Igari, which you can see on faces ranging from Addison Rae to Zara Larsson. Of course, thanks also Wuthering Heightsa more romantic all-over blush makes more sense than wearing a corset and hoop skirt.
2026 is the year blush will be popular big. More mother-daughter tutorials from Ariana Grande and Joan Grande, here you go.
