Until February 14, YSL Beauty shifts the focus from love to lust. On Tuesday, the brand launched LOVE 24/7; an all-day, multi-sensory experience in the heart of SoHo. The event, open to the public, is a fun reimagining of a New York City grocery store—where anything you want can be found always Within reach. It was later replaced by an after-hours experience curated for the brand’s inner circle, which includes Amelia Gray, Lila Moss, Alex Consani, Lori Harvey and Nina Dobrev.
During the day, guests roamed the world of YSL Beauty through a series of interactive touchpoints, including a masterclass led by global makeup artist Sam Visser. talk with FashionVisser shares that the secret to a Valentine’s Day look isn’t in the eyes themselves, “although that’s definitely a good place to start,” he laughs. “It’s really about personality. How someone carries themselves tells me more about how I want to wear my makeup than you might think.”
As night falls, the Berry Crush Lounge is revealed. After entering through two wine cellar refrigerator doors, guests are led to a dimly lit, magenta-toned escape space filled with sexy energy. Libre’s scent lingers in the air, too, and the Berry Crush bottle’s decadent floral heart, interspersed with raspberries and dried roses, brings the fragrance to life. Bartenders move like shadows behind transparent partitions, mixing cocktails that guests can summon via a bell. Each drink is paired with a Libre-inspired snack to double the evocative experience.
Show-goer Amelia Gray is gearing up for a busy New York Fashion Week with appointments, and she’s sharing her go-to makeup essentials for rushing from one show to the next. She likes to keep her look simple: a nude pink lip, which she also wears as blush, faux freckles and sheer foundation. “I also love Clear YSL Candy Glaze, which brings some much-needed shine,” she adds. When enhancing your charisma from morning to night, she recommends “Always close your eyes—always“.
Nina Dobrev and Lori Harvey each weighed in on the age-old debate about bold eyes versus bold lips. Dobrev admits she’s “a little bit of a rule-breaker” and enjoys pairing the two together as long as she can strike the right balance. Harvey, meanwhile, likes to effortlessly achieve this manicure look with smudged eyes and a blurred red lip. I have no idea lure.
Also in attendance were social media star Alix Earle and her sister Ashtin, love island American alumni Olandria and singer-songwriter Ella Mai. New York DJ Jade Croo kept the energy going all night long, mixing hypnotic house and underground music as guests mingled and sipped cocktails before the party ended at 11pm.
