LVMH Names Véronique Courtois as Beauty Division CEO

LVMH appoints Véronique Courtois as chairman and CEO of the group’s beauty division. Courtois will retain his current role as Chairman and CEO of Parfums Christian Dior and will join the group’s Executive Committee.

Courtois’ new role, effective immediately, will see her oversee multiple brands including Guerlain, Acqua di Parma, Givenchy Parfums, Kenzo Parfums, Loewe Parfums, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Fresh, Benefit Cosmetics, Fenty Beauty and Officine Universelle Buly.

LVMH said in a statement on Monday: “Véronique Courtois has significantly developed the dynamism and appeal of Parfums Christian Dior, building on a rich career at LVMH’s beauty brands. Her experience and proven leadership will be a valuable asset to the brands she is responsible for.”

Courtois joined LVMH in 2000 and served as President and CEO of Guerlain from 2019 to 2023, before becoming Chairman and CEO of Parfums Christian Dior in March 2023. LVMH added that she succeeds Stéphane Rinderknech, who “has decided to leave the Group to pursue new personal projects.”

Stéphane Bianchi, Managing Director of LVMH, said: “Stéphane Rinderknech made a significant contribution to the development of our hospitality division before bringing his recognized expertise to the beauty industry. I thank him for his contribution and results and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Antoine Arnault, LVMH’s director of image and environment and the eldest son of CEO Bernard Arnault, will also join the executive committee. Antoine served as CEO of Berluti from 2011 to the end of 2023 (he remains chairman) and as chairman of Loro Piana from 2013 to 2025.

Since 2018, Arnault has overseen all communications and environmental issues for the group. One of his most important achievements in this role to date is reaching an agreement with the Paris Olympic Committee for LVMH to become the main sponsor. From December 2022, he will also serve as CEO of the family holding company Christian Dior SE.

Two of Bernard Arnault’s children – Delphine and Antoine – are now members of LVMH’s executive committee. Other members include Bianchi, Pietro Beccari, Damien Bertrand, Guillaume Motte and Jean-Jacques Gioni.

Bianchi added: “Throughout their rich careers at LVMH, Véronique and Antoine have consistently demonstrated the values ​​of our Group and driven its ambitious growth through their impactful achievements. I am delighted to welcome their unique expertise and knowledge to the Executive Committee, where they will play an important role in shaping our strategic direction.”
