Although emerald fennel Wuthering Heights As it turns out, Margot Robbie was controversial from the start, and she had the stamp of approval from Emily Brontë herself — or, at any rate, as close as you can get.
At the London premiere, Robbie wore a bracelet made from the writer’s own hair. It is a piece of Victorian mourning jewelery owned by Brontë’s sister Charlotte. An amethyst hangs from a bracelet woven from Emily and Anne Bronte’s hair.
Victorian mourning jewelry often included intricate braids, and Robbie’s custom Dilara Findikoglu look reflected this: a nude bustier gown with gorgeous gold braids that matched the actor’s own hair.
Brontë’s bracelets were complemented by jeweler Jessica McCormack, whose signature button-encrusted designs have won over fans like Zendaya, Zoë Kravitz and Dakota Johnson, who created custom rings and earrings for Robbie’s debut look. Inspired by Bronte bracelets, McCormack’s work draws influences from the Victorian and Georgian eras to create a pair of drop earrings made of garnets, diamonds and pearls. Robbie also wore a custom four-carat ruby ring on her finger, set east-west in McCormack’s signature black gold.
