Of course, Lunay also had some of her own signature pieces in the show—all courtesy of Chavarria, of course. “I wore two looks during the show,” he said. “The first was a signature white striped pajama set paired with the iconic Willy briefs and Willy slides underneath – it felt bold, playful and very on-brand.” After performing bicep curls, he changed into a runway look, wearing an all-black suit. “What I love most about both looks is the comfort,” says Lunay. “They are loose and allow me to move freely so I can stay present and fully focused on giving my best on stage. All in all, these looks feel modern, confident and undeniably Willy.”
The star says that these days he prefers clothes that are both youthful and classic, so wearing something like this isn’t too far removed from his everyday style. “I gravitate towards simple silhouettes, fitted styles and pieces that elevate your look without trying too hard,” he says. “When it comes to red carpets or moments like Paris, I definitely dress it up, but I never give up on who I am. It’s still my personal style, it’s just taken to the next level.”
Soon enough, Lunai will surely elevate his star. Just yesterday, he released his first single “Ojalá” – his first in over a year – and performed it during the show. “This is the beginning of a new chapter for me,” Lunai said. “It’s emotionally raw but still modern and rhythmic, and it captures the feeling of being completely in love and wanting to stick with it.”
The singer says you can expect this new mood from his upcoming new music. “After taking the time to creatively grow and refine my sound, I’m back with more clarity and intention,” he added. “This is a more mature me and I want to explore all aspects of life, not just the musical side. What’s next is more music, more visuals, and continuing to expand the world I’m building in this new era.”
Below, an exclusive look at Lunay’s day on the Chavarria show—from bathrobe time to rehearsals and meeting the real-life Julia Fox.
