Kate Middleton stepped out alone today (April 25) to attend the annual Anzac Day commemorations. Catherine, Princess of Wales, attended and attended the memorial service on behalf of King Charles III, laying a wreath at the Cenotaph and participating in the Remembrance and Thanksgiving services at Westminster Abbey. Kate has attended twice before and this was her first time going alone.
The royal kept up her usual sartorial pace, wearing a classic navy suit. Kate wore a bespoke Sarah Burton navy coat by Alexander McQueen with strong shoulders, white arrow-shaped lapels and a cinched waist, with a commemorative poppy pinned to the chest. (The princess has multiple versions of this McQueen coat.) She also debuted a new hat, a custom Jane Taylor London teardrop with an oversized bow at the back. Wear dark blue Gianvito Rossi pointed-toe high heels on your feet and carry a DeMellier Nano Montreal bag. (The princess loves the London bag brand’s various structured silhouettes.)

Today, her choice of jewelry is especially important. Her G. Collins & Sons tanzanite pendant necklace, believed to be a gift from her husband, Prince William, debuted back in March 2015 at a national ceremony commemorating the 13th anniversary of military operations in Afghanistan. It features a pear-shaped tanzanite surrounded by diamonds, set in platinum. She wore the gemstone necklace and matching earrings on multiple occasions over the years, including a 2016 visit to the UK to meet then-President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
