For six days (Wednesday to Monday, February 11-16), designers will be showcasing their Fall 2026 collections in New York. The New York Fashion Week hosted by the CFDA opened grandly, and Rachel Scott made her official debut at the Proenza Schouler brand. (Last year, she was hired to be part of the design process, editing content that had already begun.) This week’s closing act has yet to be announced, but it won’t be Raul Lopez’s Luar, who has yet to confirm his plans. However, we do know that Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren will hold off-calendar shows on February 9th and 10th respectively.
Brand new to the lineup this week is 7 for All Mankind, directed by Blumarine alum Nicola Brogano. Carolina Herrera is back after a Spring Bash in Madrid, as are Public School’s Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, as is Derek Lam under Robert Rodriguez.
Brands celebrating anniversaries in 2026 include Lafayette 148 New York, founded in 1996, as well as Khaite, Kim Shui and Private Policy, founded in 2016, a year that has become an internet sensation. Menswear brands like Avon Anglers, Peak Lapel and the famed J. Press are primed for a preppy renaissance.
Walking from the winners circle to the runway is Ashlynn Park, who took home the top award at the 2025 CFDA/ Awards CeremonyFashion Fashion Fund and Veejay Floresca, the first transgender woman to win the title of Project Runway. (Her mentor on the show is Christian Siriano, who is also on the show.)
Over the past few years, New York Fashion Week has become a hub for emerging talent, much of it facilitated by CFDA/CFDAFashion Fashion Fund; more than 20 original designers and brands participated in the program. Additionally, many smaller brands – such as Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen, Advisry, Aisling Camps, Alix of Bohemia, Andrew Curwen, Mel Usine, Menyelek, Ossou – have moved from unplanned to “official” for fall.
