This season she also put great care into creating her wardrobe. Costume designer Laura K. Smith created a power suit to fit Harper’s new identity. “The first shot we saw of Harper was wearing a gray three-piece suit. It was a suit that Laura custom designed and custom-made for Harper,” Mihala said. “[Laura] Like, ‘I want this to be a hero piece in her wardrobe that she can mix and match.’ ‘”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Mihala recalled her experience leading a Christian rock band in high school and her lifelong love of musical theater. (You will become obsessed and her dream Broadway role. )
“I am manifesting,” Mihara said. “I sing everything, but my favorite genre is definitely musicals. If anyone’s looking for a five-foot-tall black bad guy living in New York, pick me!”
