Human Remains Repatriated to Papua New Guinea by Australian Gallery

Recently, the Chau Chak Wing Gallery in Sydney, Australia repatriated 16-person heads to Papua New Guinea.

The remains of the forefathers were returned to 6 country areas in Madan District, consisting of Gorendu and Billy Expense. The heads were removed from Russian researcher Nickolai N. Miklouho-Maclay throughout an exploration from 1876 to 1777. The researcher kept in mind in his journal that the head was not dug deep into and was provided easily.

The objective of Miklouho-Maclay was to confirm that individuals of various races and races coincided as those of the Caucasians at the time, not plainly thought it at the time, and intended to research the composition of the head.
