Can you feel it? Lady Gaga is causing some fashion chaos.
Yesterday, Gaga paid tribute to her late friend Alexander McQueen at the film’s world premiere at The Grove in Los Angeles. Chaos Requiem— a recording of her performance at the Wilton Theater where cellphones were banned. The singer graced a black carpet strewn with rose petals in an opera gown from McQueen’s Fall 1997 Givenchy collection “Eclect Dissect.”
Gaga opted for a matador-style dress inspired by the Spanish matador tradition traje de luces—A red and black silk satin gown with open lace sleeves, a rhinestone turtleneck, fringed epaulettes, and a flared skirt with a layer of black lace over red silk.
As if the dress wasn’t striking enough on its own, Gaga added drama with a mesh veil and black lace fan, not to mention a bevy of white-clad dancers clutching roses at her side.
