Thanks to Beyoncé, we’re in the midst of a Texas renaissance. While the Dallas/Fort Worth area is a great place to find vintage Justin cowboy boots, authentic turquoise jewelry, and a variety of worn-out Levis, that’s not all the city has to offer. The home of the first Neiman Marcus and its sprawling art scene has a long and storied fashion history, and now vintage lovers can benefit from it. If you’re in the mood for an estate sale (it’s certainly worth it if it piques your interest), give these shops a try and find something of your own from The Big D.

First, Caitlin Brax looks you up and down. Next, you do a little spin, and then Brax, known locally as the “Denim Whisperer,” walks you to the locker room with an armful of Levis, Gloria Vanderbilts, and Wranglers (well, this is Texas after all), all of which fit perfectly.

You never know what you’ll find when you walk into this flea market-style store. Founded by Gretchen Bell in 2005, the front half of the store is filled with rows of men’s and women’s clothing, all divided by type and era, then further broken down into contemporary sizes, so you can easily find what you’re looking for. To the left, you’ll find an assortment of cowboy boots and smaller stalls that are more like Pandora’s (vintage) boxes: velvet Elvis paintings, taxidermy rats in tutus, and leopard-skin pillbox hats are just some of the weird delights.
