Spring is finally here, and with it comes spring outfits: pastoral, pretty, and playful. Anya Taylor-Joy is one of them, and she’s being kicked out super mario galaxy Movie Reporters visited the 2026 spring and summer T-stage fashion trend: apron dress.

Aprons are a surprisingly prominent trend among designers and on the catwalks for next season. Miu Miu launched the apron on the catwalk as a “contemplation of women’s work”, described as “both practical and decorative”, and was later worn on the red carpet by Emma Corrin, who paired it with a T-shirt and jeans. The aprons here feel like a funhouse mirror to the times we live in, examining the drama of femininity in the age of the traditional wife. Instead, for August Barron and designers Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbø, it’s one piece from a collection of layered cardigans, puffy petticoats, blouses and petticoats that twist sensuously around the body. 1950s-style curtain fabrics and pearl-encrusted straps are juxtaposed with BDSM-inspired boots and leather. It’s a product that amplifies the tensions within femininity by subverting domestic stereotypes and playing with various states of undress.
