Exclusive: Wearing Dior and Valentino, Anna Wintour and Anne Hathaway Joined Forces to Present at the 2026 Oscars

There are always some surprising cameos at the Oscars, and the 2026 ceremony will be no exception. When the coveted Oscars for Best Costume Design and Best Hair and Makeup are handed out on Sunday night, the fashion world’s leading figures Fashion Global Editorial Director Anna Wintour joins Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway on stage for frankenstein Costume designer Kate Hawley and hair and makeup artists Mike Hill, Cliona Furey, Jordan Samuel and Megan Many.

Hathaway was very close to Valentino, attending his funeral in Rome in January (alongside Wintour) and writing on Instagram shortly after his death: “…he was…my dear, cherished friend who educated me, raised me, sent me flowers every year on my birthday, made me laugh, was my partner in many joyful nights dancing and singing karaoke, and who made my world brighter, grander and more enjoyable than I could have ever imagined.”
