Why Doesn’t Ashley Tisdale’s Toxic Celebrity Mom Group Have a Reality Show?

Sometimes we seem to be swayed by the various vagaries of some reality TV executive or other’s imagination (storage wars! cupcake wars! actual wars!) in addition to the projects we actually want. To wit: Ashley French, née Tisdale, the actress behind the allegedly toxic, celebrity-studded mom group who wrote a compelling (if somewhat obscure) piece for The Cut this week but has yet to appear on my television screen, all I can ask for is…Why?

In the post, French outlined her run-ins with a group of Los Angeles moms with whom she struck up a friendship after welcoming her first child during the coronavirus pandemic, writing: “I remember being mobbed a few times and I know these things because Instagram makes sure it feeds me every photo and Instagram story. I started to feel excluded from this group and noticed that they seemed to exclude me in various ways. “Sad, yes, but at the risk of underestimating French’s feelings, I absolutely need to know who the other members of said mom group are!

There’s been a lot of speculation online that the two moms in the group are Mandy Moore and Hilary Duff, which, of course, French’s rep has denied. There are also rumors that the feud between French and her friends may be due to French’s alleged right-wing politics (which she has also denied in the past). I honestly think we, as a society, need to make this show a reality TV remix and have Andy Cohen pull the strings behind the scenes. it is giving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Only in Erewhon tonic bars not soda shops!
