That would be musician and actor Dove Cameron, who officially shared the news of her engagement to Måneskin frontman Damiano David on Instagram on January 3, wishing her fans a belated Happy New Year. “My favorite part of being alive,” she wrote of her romance with David, along with a diamond ring emoji.
Of course, it’s a long-standing source of fascination Fashion Readers were also all about the engagement rings—Cameron opted for a maximalist, vintage-inspired ring (which some of her eagle-eyed fans spotted her wearing months ago, sparking engagement rumors last fall), and it’s totally in line with the ring trends we’ve been following for the past year or so. It features a unique elongated cushion-cut diamond as the center stone and is set in the east-west orientation that many modern brides now favor, making it both modern and classic.
