It’s the 2026 Met Gala, but this past weekend was already packed with star-studded parties — and Kim Kardashian chose to spend the night enjoying some of Broadway’s best shows and her first-ever producer.
Over the past few days, Met Gala attendees have been settling into their suites at The Mark Hotel, stopping by Vogue Café for coffee, pastries and guest appearances saturday night liveand passed by the wax figures of Madame Tussauds. Instead, Kardashian attended a show this Afraid13 On Broadway, she was joined by her mother Kris Jenner, sister Kylie Jenner and costar Timotheé Chalamet. (Kendall was in town, too, but had attended Jeff and Lauren Sanchez Bezos’ Met Gala pre-ball party the night before.)

While one might opt for a more raunchy, relaxed approach and sit in a theater seat for hours, Kardashian remains true to her body-contoured, highly dramatic personal style. She wore a Christian Dior Spring/Summer 1997 pale yellow jacquard silk cheongsam with blue and green embroidery on the chest and high collar. She paired it with a tiny silver Hermès Kelly bag and tied up her legs in barely-there cream-yellow stilettos.
Gorgeousness is also her trademark, with a bronzed complexion, neon pink manicure, hair styled into a fashionable architectural bun, and a unique front piece design.
Kardashian joins production team 13 fear last month as part of “her ongoing efforts to bring attention to criminal justice reform,” as quoted in a press release sharing her involvement. Last night, she spoke during the curtain call.
Her look contrasted with Kylie and Timmy, who wore their own weekend casual looks – Timmy in a blazer and Kylie in a trench coat and cropped trousers. Of course, it’s a warm-up to the Met Gala for Kim Kardashian, and the “fashion is art” theme is basically designed for her and her love of body-hugging silhouettes. Will Kim continue her archival work, or opt for customization as she has in previous years? We’ll just have to wait and see what happens on the steps of the Met later today.
