Petar Petrov Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

It’s not just the pilot hats and Amelia Earhart elements in Peter Petrov’s new collection that make people think of flying. The narrow path he pursued as he fell could easily be described as aerodynamic.

The combination of preciousness and pragmatism in Petrov’s work may be due to his background in menswear. So a dress is designed to be easy to wear like a T-shirt, but because of the way the pattern is cut, it distorts when worn on the body. Petrov said this was in response to his feeling that “everyone is now moving into this more body-conscious life.” This doesn’t have to be overtly sexy or revealing, as the designers showed the pieces looked casually wrapped and tied around the body.

To contrast with the thinness, there are also some “generous” pieces. This includes a pair of award-winning trousers with creases and pleats and a slightly asymmetrical closure. One pair is paired with a bomber jacket in the lightest leather, gathered at the waist. The most unexpected thing is the addition of jeans. Petrov cut the shoes, one pair in cocoa brown, from unwashed Japanese denim. These capture the precious/pragmatic dynamic that makes Petrov’s designs so compelling.
